Well, it finally happened. My sweet Bailey turned sweet 16! As a gift to each of our kids they know that on their 16th birthday they get to go anywhere in the US for a vacation with no siblings. Just Mom and Dad (and in this case...Grandma and Papa). Bailey's birthday party was in Kauai, HI! What a lucky little girl, because let me just tell you...Hawaii is one of the most amazing places I have ever been!
This is our "before" vacation picture. Nathan was loading the car as we took this. We wanted a reference point to what home looked like while we were on the beach.
Travelling days are hard. On this trip we had 3 travel days. BOO! What surprised me is that they were so exhausting that I did not take many pictures. This is Nathan and Bailey waiting for our plane to Denver (yes they flew us to Denver first!).

And that is it.....we were exhausted. I didn't remove the camera from bag in Oahu until the next morning. We did not land until 9PM Hawaii time which was Midnight at home. In no way were any of ready to have our picture taken or even remotely ready for site seeing. After an hour to Denver, waiting an hour and then 7.5 to Honolulu we were all wondering if we had made the right choice. Don't worry...we did!
