Bailey's Sweet 16 Jan 07

As I mentioned before the day before at the beach was a little much for some.  Really Papa was burnt to a crisp at this point and Nathan was feeling off from the water rattling around his head.  So we decided to hit the North shore to see if it was as wonderful for a short time, then shopping and back home for quiet time before the busy schedule that is coming up the next day.

Bailey and her karate kick on the beach.  I should have done a better job photographing this, it was a fail.  Even when I set the camera to take 10 pictures in a row.  It didn't get the entire kick.  Fail.  Sorry Bailey.  But these 2 are good.

BLUE!  I never really did get over seeing that, can you tell?

The snorkeling here was terrible.  But we did run into a local who told us where to go.  We didn't get pictures at the 2nd beach but let me tell you, he was right.  My Mom and I went there and the snorkeling was fabulous.  We seen lots of fish and even a turtle the size of my 8 yr old son.  LOL ok maybe it wasn't that big, but it wasn't a small pet sized turtle either.

Bailey's appreciation of turtles also came with an appreciation for tikis.  2 very large symbols in Hawaii you see everywhere!

Bailey is hesitant to get in the ocean for snorkeling at this point but she is still drawn to it.
And if you are just swimming so you can't see the fish, they must not really be there?  Right?
Papa, Bailey and Grandma shopping
Nathan and I
So beautiful, the flowers that are everywhere!

You may have seen this on facebook but it is still too funny not to put here.  I kid you not, there is a macadamia nut flavor for EVERYONE!

LOBSTER NIGHT! YES!
BBQing, bet you can't guess that I took the picture then ran down to put my feet in the pool while they cooked ;)

Then Bailey shared a treat that she had brought for the 3 girls to do.  Face masks.  Again, these are just too silly not to share.  Sorry Grandma and Bailey :)

Bailey plastered this stuff on Grandma and I.  Then Grandma caked her face in blue goo too.

Now please tell me....how is she covered in blue mud and is still beautiful?

Boys watching TV.  Girls interrupting to show them our masks and get a picture of all 3 of us.  Then we went upstairs to lay on the bed and play truth or dare.  What a fun night that was huh girls?!
