Tuesday Oct 14-Sea World

Sea World tip...when they say arrive early to the show to make sure you are seated....they aren't kidding! Our first show of the day was seated CLEAR UP AT THE TOP. We didn't see well, and missed 1/2 the show, trying to find a seat. But the kids didn't care, they loved it.
The rest of the day, did get better after we realized that ourselves. There isn't near as much shade as in Disneyland so we all ended up burned. My mom bought a sunscreen, but it wasn't until closer to the end.
Before you go to the Shamu show you can go underneath and see the whales. How more up close and personal could you ask to be with a whale than this?
A few weeks before we left I was playing around online and found this thing called Showtime Picnic. We purchased our lunch up front, got reserved seating to the show and got to eat while we watched it. The food was very good, and the seats were perfect.
As I mentioned before, there wasn't much shade. So between shows, when you found some you took advantage of it! Here are the girls resting in some shade they found for a moment.
They have a place where you can see the Budweiser clydesdales and sample beer. Cody and Papa had some samples. The rest of us just checked out the horses.
And while those 2 sampled, we went on to an animal show
It wasn't my favorite part, but the kids laughed really hard. And of course we were sitting, so?
The last show we watched was the dolphins. Not near as cool as the whales if you ask me, but still fun to watch.
Sea World has a place you can walk through the tanks like a tunnel. My pictures are really dark and hard to see, but look at Landon's face. This was by far his favorite part of the day. He loved the sharks! He didn't want to leave.
We all looked pretty burned...me more than the rest. This was waiting for a 3D movie. Elmo and his Sesame Street friends. The background was so pretty, we needed a few pictures.
In the middle of the park there is a bat ray tank. You can get in and touch these creatures. Tayler loved it so much she was in clear up to shoulders. I really thought she was going to fall in a few times.
Everyone got in and felt them, it was just such a cool experience...
Except Courtney. This is as close as she came. Each time she got the courage, she lost it before her hand was even in the water. Too bad, it will be a very long time if ever, that she has that chance again.
