June 11th Bailey got braces! Her teeth are not too crooked but she does have quite the underbite. Her teeth don't meet, and if it goes without dental care she may need oral surgery later in life. So braces it is! Luckily the plan is only 18-20 months and as long as she follows the plan they have set for her, they will come off. The fun thing about this is 12 yrs ago I had braces. My orthodontist was Dr. Bawden. He is retired now but she is going to the same group of ppl that I did. It's called Bawden and Bills. So if you didn't guess, her orthodontist is Dr. Bills. All the same receptionists are there, they are the nicest ladies!
She was very nervous at first, but a very good sport. Her orthodontist is a bit of a tease. 
Don't worry this looks like torture but really wasn't bad (according to Bailey). The funny thing is that Bailey is pre-teen and in so many ways ready for the title. But isn't worried about this picture yet. I took the picture so she could see what she looked like. Hoping it would ease her a bit to see how silly it was. She asked specifically for this one to go on the blog. :)
This is the dental assistant that actually put the braces on Bailey. She was very nice, and did her best to put Bailey to ease.
I'm not sure how well you can see the sign. It says BRACE FACE and then lists the names of the kids who got braces that day. Bailey is listed right next to where she is standing. She chose black and red rubberbands and looks very grown up!

I remember getting braces when I was a teen, hurt like... well you know. But then I had bad bad teeth. Looks like Bailey is happy to get them, I wasn't haha
Hope it doesn't cause her much pain!
