Week Off and Next

As I am sure you are aware I took a week off between my last day at FC and my first day in CNA training.  I woke up every day with Nathan at 5 AM. I made breakfast for my kids, I packed lunches, I drove Tayler and Landon to school, then I showered.  By 8 AM I was sitting and drinking coffee and playing online every morning.  I did this each day and then Jill came over and we did more things.  Thursday I was exhausted.  My nephews are adorable but they are a lot of work!!  So when Jill asked me to go to Petsmart and Walmart Thursday morning I said NOPE, but I will babysit so you can.  The babies were there for about 2 hours.  They really are so sweet!

Below is a picture of Blake.  When he found out he was going to Aunt Natalie's house, he refused to take a nap.  So I got to hold him and talk to him for quite a while before Bracken woke up.  Once Bracken woke up my lack of taking care of twins talent shined through!  I had Blake in my lap, Bracken in my arms and I could tell that any moment they were going to lose it that they weren't getting my full attention.  So I laid their blankets on the floor and re-found the magic of Sesame Street.  I was never a let the TV babysit kind of Mom, but 30 minutes of quiet time for both baby and Mom is amazing!  As soon as I turned it on their tiny little whines stopped and laughter was heard.  Both of them watched it as long as I left it on.  I was laughing at their enjoyment and I was taking videos to share with their parents.  It was taking too long to load on here, so sorry you dont get to see :)

Look what else I learned to do on my week off.  I had another Police Wife (one I adore by the way!) come to my house and teach some of us to crochet.  We had such a great time!!!

By Monday night, I had a scarf!!!!  Mind you it is my first time and I really think it looks great!

I enjoyed it so much that Nathan bought me more yarn and I immediately started a new one.  I am hoping cute Stephanie will show me more trick so I can make more things, but for now...I am happy with my one trick pony scarves!  They are beautiful!!!

That was my quick week recap.  I did a lot of things with Jill, we shopped, we crafted, we had a lot of fun.  I just don't have enough time to show you everything.

I of course started school on Monday this week.  Today I don't go in for another 20 minutes because of CPR training, it will last until 6PM tonight.  I normally am in class from 7AM to 1PM.  So far I am enjoying being in school, I feel like I have a purpose and that when I am done with school in 4 years my purpose is going to be valuable to many.  I like that feeling!!!

It's amazing how fast your day fills up when you don't have work. I can't wait to have kids and you're an auntie to them. They'll be so lucky! I love the scarves and I think that you should give them as presents. They make good presents, period. I can't wait to hear about your school experiences. How is CNA training going?
