The entire thing started with a vanity that was too small, a cupboard that blocked the door from opening all the way and ugly blue paint/wood paneling on the walls.....all things we absolutely hated! This is one room neither of us liked when we bought the house, but had no idea just how much we hated it until we decided to change it.
We went to Home Depot, picked up a new vanity, sink, and mirror. Found a very nice color of paint. We thought this would be a weekend project at best.

Then we started discussing this wall next to the toilet. I hate this wall. We know they built the wall to put the shower against, but why is beyond us!

The shower then had to face the door and you had a very small space to get in and out of the shower. HATED IT!

Just another shot of that ugly blue wall. Oh and notice how the door doesn't open all the way...very practical???

We realize what a project this will be, so we decide to stick with our original plan for now. Maybe in the future change that silly wall/shower situation.

As Nathan starts to tear down the paneling I get more than a little excited. Then he realizes that they not only created weird walls, they cut corners to do so....
So before it is too late to really think this through....he puts a hole in the ugly wall! The face he pulled was all for my benefit. Recreating scenes for picture purposes is not something Nathan finds to be worth his time.

Since the project was "a little more" than we expected...he decided to take Friday off of work. He bought lunch for a friend who has plumber experience and in exchange Brendan moved the shower valve. Then Nathan broke up the conrete and moved the drain.
This is our first home project...we are so excited for the end result! Progress is definitely being made! Hopefully our weekend project will be done by the end of Summer. LOL!

Here is what it looks like today

LOOK! No blue wall!

Glad Nathan was willing to play along and pose for your picture. We will all be excited to see what it looks like when done.
