As I was getting ready to post yet ANOTHER thing about the wedding...I realized not only has it taken over every aspect of MY life, but it has even commandeered the family blog! So no wedding posts (today), instead I pulled the pictures off my camera for the month of January and am sticking those on here in no particular order!

Bailey's New Bike

My parents were not feeling well for Bailey's ice skating party...so they came over a few days late with this. Dang spoiled little girl! She is very excited for the weather to warm up so she can ride it now!

Sleepovers

Another present from my parents...the sleeping bags however were for Christmas. The 3 youngest kids (Bailey is a bit spoiled and only participates if they play by her rules, which they didn't this night) decided to have a sleepover in Courtney's room. They got to finally pull out the new sleeping bags. In these pictures they are totally posing! Look how open wide Tayler's mouth is---she would swallow small animals in her sleep if she really slept like that!

Poor Landon---because he is not only the youngest but the only boy he ALWAYS gets the short end of the stick. I am sure they convinced him that sleeping on the floor was way cooler than sleeping in the bed somehow....who knows what they really told him!

And he like his older sisters is always willing to strike a pose. However, in this case he was not following suit. Even pretending to just sleep wastes precious awake moments. You can never be sure, he may have faked sleep and actually fallen asleep. ha ha

Fried Twinkies

How to make a fried twinkie.

1st step-Find a girlfriend who loves you so much that even though she knows you are going to slaughter her diet she buys you that fryer you have wanted so badly for Christmas!

2nd step-Read lots of crazy ideas on how to make crazy butt enlarging foods work faster!

3rd step-freeze a box of twinkies and once cold coat them in pancake batter

4th step-FRY

5th step-Add vanilla ice cream and fruit topping

and the 6th and final step...

If you are over 12 throw them away immediately. They are horrible! That cake just sucks up all the grease and you can LITERALLY feel yourself get fatter with each disgusting bite! If you are under 12 enjoy....you just don't understand yet!

And finally for our quick recap of January....How good does a smoked turkey sound? Our new smoker (another Christmas gift)...we decided to try it out and make a turkey. My parents do it after all and it is fantastic. So 7 1/2 hours we quick this. I make some mashed potatoes, steam the green beans, home made rolls....Nathan brings it in the house!

Ok the picture is BEFORE the 7 1/2 hours although it might as well have been after. It was too cold outside---no body warned us that we should put it in the garage. So we bring in this gorgeous looking turkey. Pull it apart and blood just oozes out. Since it was almost 9 at this point and we were tired and had work/school the next day...it went in the garbage and we ate gag McDonalds!
