Yesterday my parents house officially went up for sale. So if you see me in the next little while and I instantly get teary...you can know without a doubt this is why.
When Nathan and I bought our house I think I felt like the puzzle was complete. We were 1 block East of my parents who are 1 block East of Derek. I guess I believed we would all retire, kids would be flying through the neighborhoods on their bikes to these 3 houses. Grandkids, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles....
My parents have different plans. Don't get me wrong, I believe that they should follow their dream. They have forever wanted to live in St. George. The bright side is instead of the above plan we have a new one. Vacations in St. George....free lodging, Tuacahn, sun.I just wonder if maybe I took advantage of the time I did have with them around the corner, thinking they always would be.
