Christmas Eve

Since my mom was very little it has been tradition for our family to have a Christmas Eve party. This way you get to see the entire family and hand out gifts, enjoy the holiday---but on the next day when it is so busy this is one thing you can say you have already done.
As the family got larger, Grandma finally said enough. And each family broke out into their own Christmas parties. We were rounding on 60 between grandkids, spouses, great grandkids, so on.
For the most part this tradition has always stayed the same. 4 years ago we started our own and added our own thing. I love pajamas! I have passed this on to all 4 of my kids. So the family draws names of other family members and each year you get a new pair of PJ's on Christmas Eve to wake up in the morning in.
I didn't take a picture of everyone's but if you couldn't guess these 2 were drawn by Grandma. She goes a little overboard, but the girls LOVE it! Grandma has had Tayler since she joined our family. So as you can imagine this little girl has so many of these princess nightgowns...she wears them every night!
This was something else my mom and Grandma did for the kids.....Grandma pillows. They are stuffed with feathers and so dang soft. Plus they made each of them a pillow case for it. They love it so much!
After everyone leaves we make Santa's cookies (did you know Santa's favorite is peanut butter cookies and chocolate milk?) Tenley got to stay this year and help. Then she went home with a big plate for her house also!
